Trip unit for ComPacT NSX100…250
The C106TM100C is a thermal-magnetic trip unit from the Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX range, designed for the NSX100…250 frame. It carries a continuous rating of 100 A at 50 °C and protects a 4-pole circuit breaker with 3 protected poles (3D, neutral left, no neutral protection).
Protection settings and coordination
The long-time pickup Ir is adjustable from 0.7 to 1.0 x In (70–100 A), with a fixed delay of 120–400 s at 1.5 x Ir and 15 s at 6 x Ir. The instantaneous pickup Ii is fixed at 800 A — a multiple of 8 x In at the 100 A rating. This fixed Ii at 800 A means the unit clears a hard short without adjustment risk, but it also sets the selectivity floor: downstream devices must have an instantaneous threshold below 800 A to coordinate. For a panel designer, this is the number to check against the feeder breaker's magnetic trip.
