The C10B44B100: At 40 °C the trip unit is rated for 100 A continuous. That is the L (long-time) overload protection setting. The I protection is instantaneous for high faults. The integrated earth-leakage (R) protection means you don't need a separate add-on module — it's built into the trip unit, saving panel space and wiring. Breaking capacity varies with voltage: 40 kA Icu at 240 V AC, 25 kA at 415 V AC, 20 kA at 440 V AC, and 15 kA at 500 V AC. That prevents re-closing onto a still-hot circuit, which matters for motor or transformer loads that draw high inrush after a trip.
Mounts on a backplate (not DIN rail) in any orientation — horizontal, vertical, or flat on the back. Front connections top and bottom, with a 35 mm connection pitch. The 4-pole unit is 140 mm wide, 161 mm tall, 86 mm deep. IP40 enclosure protection and IK07 impact resistance. The toggle handle and the IΔn rotary switch give you a manual OFF for the earth-leakage function. Local signalling includes a flashing green LED for ready, a red LED for 105% Ir overload, and an orange LED for 90% Ir pre-alarm. Useful for a quick visual check during commissioning without opening the panel door.
