The H breaking capacity code delivers 70 kA Icu at 415 V AC per IEC 60947-2, and 100 kA Icu at 240 V AC — enough headroom for most distribution panel main or feeder positions without cascading upstream.

Above that, the electronic trip unit thermally models the conductor — the 20-minute thermal memory means it remembers prior heating even after a trip resets, so re-energizing a hot circuit won't nuisance-trip on the second start.
