The Schneider Electric C10H3MA007 is a ComPacT NSX100H circuit breaker with a magnetic-only MA trip unit rated 6.3 A at 65 °C. It is designed specifically for motor protection — the MA trip provides short-circuit (magnetic) protection only, with no thermal overload element, so it pairs with an external overload relay to handle the motor's running overcurrent protection. The 3-pole device carries a 100 kA Icu breaking capacity at 240 V AC and 70 kA at 415 V AC, both per IEC 60947-2, which means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to those levels without upstream cascading. It also carries UL 60947-4-1 ratings of 85 kA at 240 V and 65 kA at 480 V, covering North American motor branch-circuit installations.
If your panel ambient is lower, the breaker can carry slightly more; if higher, you derate. The MA trip unit's magnetic pickup is fixed (not adjustable), so verify the motor's locked-rotor current falls within the breaker's instantaneous trip band. The NSX100H frame accepts plug-in trip units and auxiliary accessories via its 5 accessory slots, so adding shunt trips, aux contacts, or an earth-leakage module later is straightforward.
The 105 mm width, 161 mm height, and 86 mm depth fit standard ComPacT NSX cutouts. IK07 impact resistance handles incidental tool contact during maintenance.
Electrical durability and isolation
Rated for 50,000 mechanical cycles and 30,000 electrical cycles at 440 V at rated current. At half-rated current (In/2), electrical durability rises to 50,000 cycles at 440 V and 20,000 cycles at 690 V. Power dissipation is 3.93 W per pole — roughly 12 W total at rated load, which matters for panel thermal calculations.
