The Schneider Electric C160H35AFM is a ComPacT NS new generation 3-pole MCCB, rated 1600 A at 50 °C with a MicroLogic 5.0 A electronic trip unit. It carries an 85 kA Icu breaking capacity at 240 V AC, 70 kA at 415 V AC, and 42 kA at 690 V AC per IEC 60947-2 — that 70 kA at 415 V is the H-code rating you see on the nameplate. The trip unit provides L (long-time overload), S (short-time short-circuit), and I (instantaneous) protection curves, all adjustable through the LCD display. This is a manually operated, fixed-mount breaker designed for distribution duty, not motor-starting cycles.
The 1600 A frame at 50 °C is the continuous current rating — no derating needed at that ambient, but above 50 °C you follow the curve in the manual.
Integration notes
Fixed-mount, backplate-supported — no DIN-rail adapter. The 210 mm width, 327 mm height, and 147 mm depth fit a standard distribution section; connection pitch is 70 mm. The LCD display and four red fault LEDs plus one yellow overload LED give local diagnostics without opening the door. Mechanical durability is 10,000 cycles; electrical durability varies by voltage and current — 1,000 cycles at 690 V In, 2,000 at 690 V In/2, 2,000 at 440 V In, 5,000 at 440 V In/2.
IK07 impact resistance per EN 50102. IP40 per IEC 60529. Operating altitude up to 2,000 m without derating, 2,000–5,000 m with derating. Relative humidity 0–95 %. No earth-leakage protection built in — that's a separate accessory or upstream device.
