What this basic frame gives you
It ships without a trip unit, so you pair it with the appropriate electronic or thermal-magnetic trip module for your load. At 440 V AC it still holds 20 kA Icu; at 500 V AC it drops to 15 kA. That's a solid selectivity window for a 160 A panel feeder.
It's a panel-mount breaker, not a DIN-rail snap-on, so plan for screw-down mounting and busbar takeoffs.
Mechanical durability is 40,000 cycles per IEC 60947-2. Electrical durability varies with voltage and load: 40,000 cycles at 440 V AC at half rated current (In/2), 20,000 cycles at full In at 440 V AC, and 7,500 cycles at 690 V AC at full In. That's a lot of switching for a distribution breaker — it's not just a backup isolator, it's rated for regular load switching.
