The C16H47E100 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX160H moulded-case circuit breaker with a MicroLogic 7.2 E electronic trip unit, rated 100 A at 40 °C. The 70 kA Icu at 415 V AC is the more common industrial rating; at 480 V AC it still holds 65 kA under UL 60947-4-1. The trip unit provides L (long-time overload), S (short-time short-circuit), I (instantaneous), and R (earth-leakage) protection — all adjustable via the LCD display and toggle control. The 4-pole (4P) configuration with neutral on the left handles three-phase plus neutral distribution. The 35 mm connection pitch and front-facing upside/downside connections simplify panel wiring.
Deployment context
The 161 mm height, 140 mm width, and 86 mm depth fit standard distribution panel cutouts. The 0 to 2000 m operating altitude without derating covers most installations; above that, derate per the manufacturer's curve.
The IEC 60947-2 standard covers low-voltage switchgear and controlgear — specifically the breaking capacity and coordination requirements for MCCBs. Overvoltage category IV means it's suitable for main distribution panels at the service entrance. The electronic trip unit provides energy metering, time-stamped event histories, and demand current/power data via the LCD display.
