160 A, MicroLogic 2.2, 50 kA at 415 V — the backbone of a distribution panel
The C25N32D160 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX250N circuit breaker, 3-pole, rated 160 A at 40 °C with a MicroLogic 2.2 electronic trip unit. Its breaking capacity hits 50 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC (50/60 Hz) per IEC 60947-2 — the N-frame designation. The LED signalling on the front gives green for ready, red at 105 % Ir overload, orange at 90 % Ir — a quick visual for the panel walker.
The NSX250N frame delivers 90 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC, 50 kA at 380–440 V, 36 kA at 500 V, 35 kA at 525 V, and 10 kA at 660/690 V AC. For UL 60947-4-1 applications it's rated 85 kA at 240 V, 50 kA at 480 V, 15 kA at 600 V AC. On a 400 V system, that 50 kA covers most transformer secondary faults up to about 2 MVA.
Mounting and integration — backplate, front connections, IP40 enclosure
Mechanical durability is 20,000 cycles; electrical durability at 440 V In is 10,000 cycles, doubling to 20,000 at In/2. At 690 V In it drops to 5,000 cycles. For a main breaker that cycles once or twice a week, that's decades of service. For a frequently switched feeder, the 690 V electrical endurance is the limiting number.
