The C60H2P50AD is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker from the Schneider Electric Multi9 C60H range, rated 50 A at 40 °C with a D tripping curve (magnetic trip 10–14 × In). Breaking capacity is 10 kA Icn per EN 60898 at 230/400 V AC, and under IEC 60947-2 the ultimate breaking capacity (Icu) reaches 15 kA at 400–415 V AC and 30 kA at 230–240 V AC. For a 50 A feeder in a typical commercial or light-industrial panel, 10 kA at the service entrance is adequate for most installations; the higher Icu figures confirm the breaker can clear a fault at the bus without welding contacts, even when the available fault current is higher than the Icn rating. The service breaking capacity (Ics) is 7.5 kA per EN 60898 at 230/400 V AC, meaning after clearing a fault at that level the breaker remains functional and can be reclosed — not just a one-shot device. This matters for selectivity studies: if the upstream device is a 63 A moulded-case breaker with a higher Icu, the C60H2P50AD can be coordinated to let the downstream MCB clear first.
Mounts on a 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail (EN 60715) and occupies 4 modules of 9 mm pitch — 36 mm total width. For panel builders, the 73 mm depth leaves clearance for standard 80 mm deep enclosures. The toggle handle provides local ON/OFF indication and a contact position indicator confirms the state of the moving contacts — useful for lockout/tagout verification during maintenance.
