What this breaker delivers

It is a Category B breaker, meaning it is fully selective with upstream devices — the 50 kA Icw short-time withstand current (1 s) lets it ride through downstream faults without tripping, so only the faulted branch clears. For distribution duty, this selectivity is the difference between a single line down and a whole panel blackout.

Category B utilization (IEC 60947-2) with a 50 kA Icw for 1 s means this breaker coordinates cleanly with downstream MCCBs and fuses. Maximum breaking time is 35 ms; closing response hits 70 ms. For a panel OEM designing a selective distribution scheme, the 1000 A CT rating matches the frame size and the rear horizontal/vertical connection positions give flexibility in busbar layout.
Drawout mounting on a rail base plate — the breaker chassis stays fixed; the mechanism slides in and out for maintenance without disturbing power connections. Connection pitch is 70 mm without spreader, rear-connected. IP30 enclosure protection keeps tools and fingers out but expects panel-level sealing for washdown areas.
