What the 800 A AC-23A rating means for your distribution panel
The ENW13266 is a 3-pole switch disconnector from the EasyPact NW range, rated 800 A in AC-23A utilisation category at 440 V AC. For distribution duty where you need a visible-break isolator that also handles motor starting currents, this is the spec that confirms fit.
Drawout mounting and panel integration
Mounts on a rail base plate in drawout configuration — the switch body can be withdrawn from the base for inspection or replacement without disturbing the main power connections. Connection pitch is 70 mm without spreader, rear-connected, with both vertical and horizontal orientation allowed. Panel cutout dimensions: 322 mm height × 288 mm width × 277 mm depth.
Withstand and making capacity — what the short-circuit ratings protect
Rated short-time withstand current (Icw) is 50 kA for 1 second at 220–440 V — that's the fault current the switch can carry without damage while upstream protection clears. Rated short-circuit making capacity (Icm) is 75 kA at the same voltage range. For coordination studies, these numbers tell you the switch can close onto a fault up to 75 kA peak and hold 50 kA rms for a full second. Impulse withstand voltage is 12 kV, giving solid insulation coordination for 1000 V rated insulation voltage systems.
