3200 A air circuit breaker for distribution
The Schneider Electric ENW24131 is a 4-pole air circuit breaker from the EasyPact NW range, rated 3200 A at 40 °C and built for distribution duty per IEC 60947-2. The 42 kA Icu at 690 V AC covers the higher-voltage end of industrial networks. Both the ultimate (Icu) and service (Ics) breaking capacities are the same figure at each voltage — 50 kA Ics at 440 V, 42 kA Ics at 690 V — so the breaker clears its full rated fault without derating for repetitive duty.
The IP40 enclosure keeps tools and fingers out but is not washdown-rated; mount it in a cabinet if the environment is wet. Electrical durability at 440 V is 5,000 cycles without maintenance — enough for a main breaker that operates infrequently, not a switching device cycling every minute. The 25 ms maximum breaking time means the arc is quenched and the fault cleared in under three line cycles at 50 Hz.
Fixed-mount design on a base plate, rear-connected. The 537 mm width, 352 mm height, and 297 mm depth define the footprint for panel layout — account for the 115 mm connection pitch without spreader when positioning busbars. Neutral is on the left. The push-button control interface means no motor operator is built in; remote closing requires an optional add-on.
