The IP40 enclosure keeps tools and fingers out but isn't sealed against water; this lives in a dry switchgear lineup, not a washdown area.
Breaking capacity — the number that matters for fault coordination
That 1 kA gap between Icu and Ics is tight, typical of a high-performance air breaker. For selectivity studies, the Icw short-time withstand is 65 kA for 1 s at 440 V, so downstream breakers have time to clear before this one trips on a delayed curve.
The ENW24142 is current production. For a 1000 A frame breaker still in the catalog, the supply channel is standard.
Fixed mount on a base plate, rear-connected. The connection pitch is 115 mm without a spreader, so busbar drilling and cable lug spacing need to match that dimension. Horizontal or vertical connection position is allowed — useful for tight cabinet layouts. Dimensions: 422 mm wide, 352 mm high, 297 mm deep. That depth includes the rear connection space, so account for it in the enclosure depth.
Isolation and endurance
Electrical endurance at 440 V is 6,000 cycles without maintenance — enough for a distribution feeder that sees a few operations per year, not a motor-switching duty cycle.
