The Schneider Electric ENW24152 is a 4-pole EasyPact NW drawout circuit breaker rated 1600 A at 40 °C, built to IEC 60947-2 for distribution duty. The drawout cradle lets you rack the breaker out for safe maintenance or swap without disturbing the bus connections, which cuts downtime on a line-down event.
Breaking capacity and duty
The H breaking-capacity code means this unit is the high-interrupting version of the EasyPact NW frame. At 440 V the Icu is 66 kA; the Ics (service breaking capacity) is 65 kA — 98% of Icu, so it can reclose after a fault at nearly full rating without derating the next interruption. At 690 V both Icu and Ics drop to 50 kA, still adequate for most 690 V distribution. Category B utilization means the breaker is designed for selectivity with downstream devices: it withstands a let-through current without tripping, so only the faulted branch opens.
Drawout mounting on a rail support with rear connection. The 115 mm connection pitch without spreader sets the bus-bar drilling pattern. Neutral position is left.
Durability and service life
Electrical durability at 440 V is 6,000 cycles without maintenance, dropping to 4,000 at 690 V. Maximum breaking time is 25 ms; maximum closing response time is 70 ms. These numbers govern the maintenance interval: plan an inspection after 10,000 mechanical operations or 4,000 full-load breaks at 690 V, whichever comes first.
