The Schneider Electric ENW24192 is a 4-pole switch disconnector from the EasyPact NW range, rated 1600 A in AC-23A utilisation category at 690 V AC.
The 1600 A continuous rating is the headline number, but the short-time withstand current tells you what it survives in a fault: 50 kA for 1 s or 25 kA for 3 s, both per IEC 60947-3. That's enough to coordinate with most downstream MCCB or fuse protection without the switch becoming the weak link. The making capacity of 105 kA peak means it can close onto a bolted fault — important if you're using it as a load-break switch ahead of a transformer or large drive. Pollution degree 4 is the highest in IEC 60664-1, covering conductive pollution (dust, moisture, carbon) that would track across insulation in a dirty substation or industrial environment. That, plus the 12 kV impulse withstand, tells you this switch is designed for main incoming or distribution positions where the environment is harsh and the fault energy is high.
