The short-time withstand current (Icw) is 55 kA for 1 second, or 30 kA for 3 seconds. That's the fault current the switch can carry without welding or damage during the upstream breaker's clearing time. The making capacity (Icm) of 121 kA peak tells you it can close onto a bolted fault — important for coordination studies on high-capacity 400 V or 690 V busbars. The IP40 enclosure keeps tools and fingers out but isn't sealed against water ingress; it's intended for indoor switchgear assemblies, not washdown zones.

The mounting support is rail-based, with a connection pitch of 115 mm without spreader. Neutral is on the right. Rear connections, horizontal or vertical orientation. Dimensions: 556 mm wide, 439 mm high, 395 mm deep — plan your cabinet depth accordingly. Electrical durability under AC-23A at 440 V is 5,000 cycles; at 690 V it drops to 2,500 cycles. That's typical for a high-current switch — the arc energy at 690 V wears contacts faster. If your application cycles the switch daily under load, factor that into your maintenance schedule.
