What this breaker delivers
The Schneider Electric EVS10H3MF60 is a 3-pole molded-case circuit breaker from the EasyPact EVS range, rated 1000 A at 40 °C and carrying a 65 kA Icu breaking capacity at 440 V AC (50/60 Hz) per IEC 60947-2. At 690 V the Icu drops to 50 kA — still enough for most 690 V distribution boards, but verify your fault level if you are on a high-capacity 690 V bus. The electronic trip unit — EVS Trip System6.0 — provides overload (long-time), instantaneous short-circuit, short-time short-circuit, and earth-fault protection.
Fixed-mount design with rear connection. Occupies 422 mm width × 352 mm height × 297 mm depth — factor that into your enclosure depth budget, especially if you are back-paneling with a gland plate behind it. Mounts on a rail or base plate. Connection pitch is 115 mm without a spreader; vertical or horizontal orientation is allowed. IP40 front face keeps out tools and finger probes, but the enclosure must handle the rest — this is not a washdown-rated device.
Durability and fault indication
Mechanical endurance: 20,000 cycles with maintenance, 10,000 without. Electrical endurance in Category B (distribution duty) is 5,000 cycles at 440/690 V without maintenance — this is a switchboard main or heavy feeder breaker, not a daily motor-switching device. Fault indication covers internal fault, overload, short-circuit, and earth fault — the trip unit flags the cause, so a returning technician sees what cleared the breaker without needing a separate event logger. Pollution degree 4 per IEC 60664-1 means it tolerates conductive dust and heavy condensation — suitable for industrial environments where a standard IP20 breaker might track across terminals.
