Breaking capacity — the number that decides the fit
The EZC100H4080 carries a 100 kA Icu at 110–130 V AC and 50 kA at 220–240 V AC — meaning it can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level without welding or bursting the contacts. At 380–400 V it still holds 30 kA, and at 550 V AC it holds 10 kA. On DC sides, it is rated 10 kA at 125 V DC (1-pole) and 250 V DC (2-pole). That covers most industrial distribution panels fed by a transformer or a generator step-down.
The TM-D trip unit is thermal-magnetic — thermal for overload (inverse-time, responding to RMS heating), magnetic for short-circuit (instantaneous pick-up). The breaker is Category A (no intentional short-time delay), meaning it trips fast on a hard fault — standard for a distribution feeder or branch panel where selectivity is handled upstream with a time-delay breaker or fuse.
Fixed-mount on a backplate, front-connected both line and load. The 4-pole body is 100 mm wide, 130 mm tall, 60 mm deep — a compact footprint for a 100 kA-rated 4-pole. Connection pitch is 25 mm, which matches standard busbar spacing. IP20 finger-safe terminals are standard; the enclosure must provide the rest of the ingress protection. IK07 impact rating means it survives a 2 J hammer blow — enough for panel-door mounting if the door is not exposed to heavy tools.
The EZC100H4080 is listed as current production (active lifecycle). It is certified to EN/IEC 60947-1 and -2, JIS C8201-2-2, and GB/T 14048.2 — so it is accepted in European, Japanese, and Chinese markets.
