The EZC100H4100 is a 4-pole moulded-case circuit breaker from the Schneider Electric EasyPact EZC100H series, rated 100 A at 40 °C with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit. The H breaking capacity code tells you the interrupting rating at the highest-voltage test point: 100 kA Icu at 110–130 V AC, 30 kA at 380–400 V AC, and 10 kA at 550 V AC. The 4-pole configuration with 3t protected poles and no neutral protection means the breaker protects three phases and switches the neutral without a trip element on it — standard for a 3-phase + N distribution board where the neutral is not expected to carry fault current. The 690 V AC rated insulation voltage and 550 V AC maximum operational voltage cover 400/480 V systems with headroom, and the 250 V DC rating makes it usable in DC distribution panels up to that voltage.
Deployment context
The breaker mounts fixed to a backplate with a 25 mm connection pitch — standard for panelboard or switchboard integration. The IP20 degree of protection means it is suitable for installation inside a closed electrical enclosure where no water ingress is expected; the IK07 impact rating provides basic mechanical robustness against accidental tool strikes during panel wiring.
It also carries JIS C8201-2-2 and GB/T 14048.2 approvals, covering Japanese and Chinese markets respectively. Pollution degree 3 allows installation in environments with conductive pollution (condensation, light dust), typical of industrial control panels not in a climate-controlled room.
