The Schneider Electric EZC400H4400 is a 400 A thermal-magnetic MCCB from the EasyPact EZC400H series, built for distribution duty in fixed-mount switchboards. The trip unit is rated 400 A at 50 °C — that's the continuous current it carries without tripping at that ambient, so in a 40 °C panel it handles the same 400 A with extra thermal headroom. The TM-D trip combines a thermal bimetal for overload protection and a fixed magnetic trip set at 4000 A for short-circuit protection. At 220-240 V AC it rises to 70 kA Icu. The 'H' in the name designates this high-breaking-capacity version, which gives selectivity headroom downstream of a larger upstream device. The 4-pole version (4P) switches all three phases plus the neutral, though the neutral pole is unprotected — it tracks the phase poles mechanically.
Fixed mount on a backplate, front connection both top and bottom. The 45 mm pole pitch matches standard busbar spacing for panelboard integration. IP20 finger-safe terminals; IK07 impact resistance means it withstands accidental tool strikes during panel wiring.
