The Schneider Electric EZC400H44320N is a 4-pole moulded-case circuit breaker from the EasyPact EZC400H series, rated 400 A at 40 °C with a thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit. Breaking capacity hits 50 kA Icu at 400–415 V AC 50/60 Hz per IEC 60947-2, and 70 kA Icu at 220–240 V AC. The magnetic trip is fixed at 3200 A, so it clears short-circuit faults fast — no adjustable instantaneous pickup on this unit.
Selectivity and SCCR headroom
With 50 kA Icu across the 400–440 V range (and 70 kA at 240 V), this breaker coordinates well upstream of smaller panel feeders. The TM-D trip is thermal-magnetic, so overload curve follows the bimetal; short-circuit is magnetic-only at 8× In (3200 A). That fixed magnetic ratio limits selectivity with downstream breakers that have lower instantaneous thresholds — plan coordination studies if feeding multiple panelboards.

Toggle handle with positive contact indication gives visual confirmation of contact position.
