The Schneider Electric EZCV250N3160 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker from the EasyPact EZCV250N series, rated 160 A at 40 °C with a thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit. It's built for distribution duty — overload, short-circuit, and earth-leakage protection in one package. The 20 kA Icu at 440 V AC (85 kA at 240 V, 25 kA at 415 V) tells you it can handle moderate fault levels on a 400 V line without cascading upstream.
The TM-D trip unit gives you fixed thermal (overload) and magnetic (short-circuit) settings; no adjustment dials, so the breaker is matched to the load at order time. Earth-leakage protection is built in, which saves an external RCCB or ground-fault module in panels where that's required. IP20 finger-safe terminals and IK07 impact resistance mean it's fine inside a locked enclosure but not for washdown zones.
Fixed backplate mount with front-front connections — both line and load terminals are accessible from the front, which simplifies busbar routing and panel wiring. Toggle control with positive contact indication gives a clear visual of the contact state. Mechanical durability of 10,000 cycles is typical for a distribution breaker — not for frequent switching duty, but fine for infrequent manual operation or remote shunt-trip use.
