The Schneider Electric EZCV250N4100 is a 4-pole EasyPact EZCV250N circuit breaker rated 100 A at 40 °C with a thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit. Earth-leakage protection is built in, so this breaker handles both overload/short-circuit and ground-fault detection in one package — no separate RCD module needed. That saves a DIN slot and simplifies wiring in a panel where you need both functions on a feeder. The 4-pole design with 3 protected poles and no neutral protection is typical for a 3-phase + N distribution board where the neutral is solidly bonded and doesn't need its own trip element. Mounts fixed to a backplate with front connections top and bottom — standard for panel builders wiring a fixed distribution section.
Where it goes and what it guards
This breaker is designed for distribution duty in AC networks at 50/60 Hz. The TM-D trip unit gives a fixed thermal curve for overload and a fixed magnetic threshold for short-circuit — no adjustment dials. That's fine for a dedicated feeder where the load is known and won't change. For a motor circuit that needs adjustable overloads, you'd look at a different trip technology; this one is for straightforward cable and busbar protection.
