115 A motor circuit breaker for TeSys Deca panels
The GV4PEM115B6: It combines thermal-magnetic and electronic trip technology to protect motors against overload, short-circuit, and phase failure — the electronic element provides adjustable protection curves that a purely thermal device cannot. At 415 V the rating drops to 25 kA, still adequate for typical motor branch circuits.
Motor power coverage and trip coordination
This breaker covers motors from 37 kW up to 110 kW depending on supply voltage — for example, 37 kW at 400 V, 55 kW at 500 V, and 110 kW at 690 V. The wide power range means a single frame size handles multiple motor ratings, simplifying panel stock. Magnetic trip threshold is fixed at 1955 A, which is 17× the line rating — this prevents nuisance tripping on motor inrush while still clearing a bolted fault quickly. Phase failure sensitivity per IEC 60947-4-1 ensures the breaker opens if one phase drops out, avoiding single-phase motor burnup. Mechanical durability is 40,000 cycles.
Dimensions are 6.1 in (155 mm) high, 3.2 in (81 mm) wide, and 4.6 in (116 mm) deep — fits standard 35 mm DIN rail. Connection pitch is 27 mm without spreaders, expanding to 35 mm with spreaders for larger cable lugs up to 95 mm². IP40 front protection and IK07 impact resistance suit indoor panel environments. Pollution degree 3 means it tolerates conductive dust and occasional condensation — typical for factory-floor enclosures without climate control.
The fire resistance rating of 960 °C per IEC 60695-2-11 supports global panel certification requirements.
