Dual trip technology and phase loss protection
The trip unit combines thermal-magnetic and electronic elements — the thermal bimetal handles overloads with an inverse-time curve, while the magnetic coil (850 A fixed) clears short-circuits. The electronic circuit adds phase-failure sensitivity per IEC 60947-4-1, so a lost phase on the line side trips the breaker before single-phasing damages the motor. Power dissipation is 4.6 W per pole at rated current — budget this into the panel thermal calculation when grouping multiple MPCBs in a closed enclosure. The 40,000-cycle mechanical endurance and 20,000-cycle electrical endurance at AC-3 rated current give a realistic service life for production machinery running 25 cycles per hour maximum operating rate.

The GV4PEM50B6 mounts on standard DIN rail with a 27 mm connection pitch between poles — this matches the TeSys Deca busbar system without spreaders. With spreaders fitted, the pitch opens to 35 mm to accommodate larger cable lugs up to 95 mm². The IP40 front face and IK07 impact resistance are adequate for enclosed panel mounting; this is not a washdown-rated device.
