Fit on a PacDrive 3 axis
The Schneider Electric ILM1001P32F0000 is an ILM-series servo motor with integrated drive from the PacDrive 3 range — a single-cable axis block sized for 600 W nominal output at 1.4 A line current, with peak Irms of 7.4 A for acceleration bursts.
Holding brake and feedback for safety-rated axes
A 5.5 N·m holding brake is fitted as standard, paired with absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface feedback — the brake locks the axis on de-energise and the Hiperface channel returns absolute position without a homing move on power-up, which is the usual requirement on guarded machine axes where uncontrolled drop on E-stop must be avoided. Continuous stall torque is rated at 2.5 N·m against 1.8 A continuous stall current — the difference between the continuous stall figure and the 1.9 N·m nominal at 3000 rpm is the thermal envelope a sizing engineer has to respect at zero speed, particularly when the brake is engaged and convection alone is shedding heat.
Mounting, sealing, and shaft-side loads
The motor mounts on an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size and a 95 mm centring collar; four 9 mm mounting holes fix it through the machine frame, and the keyed shaft (19 mm diameter, 40 mm length, 30 mm key) drives the load without a second shaft end — for a typical gearbox or coupling fit, the radial load budget derates from 900 N at 1000 rpm to 630 N at 3000 rpm, with axial load capped at 0.2 × Fr. IP65 sealing on the housing supports washdown-adjacent deployment on packaging and food-grade lines, and natural convection cooling removes the need for an external fan — there is no fan cable to route and no fan-failure mode to monitor in the cabinet thermal budget.
Electrical constants the drive has to match
Stator resistance is 9.8 Ω phase-to-phase at 20 °C and back-EMF is 90 V/krpm — the PacDrive 3 drive has to be configured for those constants or the current loop will mis-tune, and the 8-pole / 1-stack winding with 45.7 mH inductance (Ph/Ph at 20 °C) sets the achievable current-loop bandwidth.
