The LV846181 is a Schneider Electric MasterPact MTZ2 fixed-mount, 4-pole circuit breaker rated 1000 A at 40 °C in the H2V performance class — 100 kA breaking at 415 V AC. It is built for main-feed protection in power-distribution switchboards where Category B selectivity and full-rated short-time withstand are required. The 100 kA Ics at 440 V AC means it clears a fault at that level and stays usable afterward, not just survives it once. That matters when you are coordinating downstream breakers in a plant main or a wind-turbine tower base.
The Icw of 100 kA for 0.5 s (75 kA for 3 s) tells you this breaker handles delayed tripping for full selectivity with downstream devices — you do not have to sacrifice coordination to get fault clearance. The Icm of 220 kA at 440 V AC confirms the making capacity on closing into a bolted fault. Electrical durability is 10 000 cycles at In under AC-23A (switching motor loads) and 6000 cycles under AC-3, so it is rated for regular switching duty, not just backup protection. That 70 W power dissipation at full load matters for enclosure heat rise — plan the ventilation.
Fixed-mount on rails or base plate, 537 mm wide by 352 mm high by 300 mm deep. Connection pitch is 115 mm. Both front and rear connections are available on upside and downside, so it fits switchboard bus-bar layouts without rework. Neutral is on the left.
Also complies with IEC 61557-12 for measuring and monitoring functions. Suitability for isolation is confirmed. Operating altitude 0–2000 m without derating, 2000–5000 m with derating — relevant for high-altitude installations or wind-turbine nacelles above 2000 m.
