MasterPact MTZ2 08 H2V — 800 A Drawout Breaker, 100 kA Ics
The Schneider Electric LV846210 is a MasterPact MTZ2 08 H2V drawout circuit breaker, part of the MasterPacT range. The H2V performance level delivers 100 kA Ics (service breaking capacity) at 440 V AC 50/60 Hz, with a corresponding Icm (making capacity) of 220 kA at the same voltage. This SCCR headroom allows the breaker to clear high-fault currents without upstream coordination issues in Category B selective systems. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 1000 V AC, impulse withstand (Uimp) is 12 kV, and short-time withstand (Icw) is 100 kA for 0.5 s or 1 s, and 75 kA for 3 s. Maximum breaking time is 25 ms, with a closing response time of 70 ms.
Drawout Mounting and Integration
Drawout mounting allows the breaker to be racked in and out of the cassette without disturbing power or control wiring — essential for maintenance and safe isolation in metal-enclosed switchgear. Mounting support options include rails or a base plate. Connection pitch is 115 mm, and both upside and downside connections are available in front or rear configurations. Dimensions are 556 mm wide × 439 mm high × 403 mm deep. The neutral pole is on the right. Control is via push-button; the unit ships without a separate control unit.
