The Schneider Electric LV848815 is a MicroLogic 3.0 X electronic control unit for MasterPacT circuit breakers. It provides LI protection (long-time and instantaneous short-circuit) per ANSI 49 and 50, plus integrated power metering with a 128 x 96 pixel LCD display. Rated operational voltage is 690 V AC, with measurement voltage from 145.6 to 828 V AC per phase at 50/60 Hz. The unit supports 4P and 3P configurations, including 4P 3d + OSN and 4P 4d neutral protection settings.
Metering and accuracy
The control unit measures average voltage, power factor, frequency, RMS voltage, current (Ia, Ib, Ic, In, Ig), active/reactive/apparent power, and total harmonic distortion (THD) for both voltage and current. Accuracy classes include Class 0.5 for voltage unbalance, Class 1 for active/reactive energy, and Class 2 for voltage THD. Measurement accuracy for current is ±0.5 % over the 40–1600 A range (MTZ1 frame), ±0.5 % for 40–4000 A (MTZ2), and ±0.5 % for 80–6300 A (MTZ3). Active energy accuracy is ±1 % over 10 GWh; reactive energy ±2 % over 10 GVARh.
Protection and diagnostics
The LI protection curve offers adjustable long-time pickup (Ir) from 0.4 to 1 x In in 1 A steps, with long-time delay adjustable from 12.5 to 600 s at 1.5 x Ir. Instantaneous pickup (Ii) is adjustable. Thermal memory is included, and the unit logs alarms, events, and min/max values. Diagnostic features include circuit breaker health state, tripping cause indication, contact state, and MicroLogic service life tracking. The unit supports Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, and USB communication for local configuration and data retrieval.
EMC compliance includes electrostatic discharge, electromagnetic field, fast transient/burst, surge (1.2/50 µs), and conducted RF immunity per IEC 61000-4-2 through -6. Conducted and radiated emissions meet Class A of CISPR 22.
