The LX1FG154 is a replacement contactor coil from the TeSys F range, wound for 154 V AC 50 Hz control circuits. It's the energizing element for a TeSys F frame contactor — when the coil pulls in, the main poles close and the auxiliary contacts switch. Rated for 805 VA inrush at 50 Hz (cos φ 0.3) dropping to 55 VA hold-in, so the coil sees a heavy initial surge that the control transformer must support without voltage sag. Heat dissipation runs 18...24 W at 50 Hz, which matters for enclosure thermal rise when multiple coils are energized in the same panel.
Closing time is 20...35 ms, opening 7...15 ms — fast enough for motor starting duty but not for high-speed synchronous switching. Mechanical durability is 10 Mcycles, so the coil itself is rarely the wear item in a standard panel (the main contacts and arc chambers go first). Maximum operating rate is 2400 cycles/hour at 55 °C; above that, the thermal rise in the coil windings accelerates insulation aging. Control voltage limits are drop-out at 0.35...0.55 Uc and operational pick-up at 0.85...1.1 Uc at 55 °C — meaning the coil drops out cleanly below about 54 V AC and reliably picks up above 131 V AC. If your control supply dips during a downstream fault, this coil may chatter or drop.
Coil construction note
This coil ships without a built-in suppressor module. The inductance of the closed circuit is 1.27 H, and average DC resistance is 8.19 Ω at 20 °C. Without an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil terminals, the inductive kick when de-energizing can couple noise into adjacent control wiring — standard practice is to fit a suppressor (e.g., TeSys LA4 or a generic RC unit) across the coil if the PLC output or relay driving it doesn't have one built in.
