The LX1FX140 is a replacement coil for the TeSys LX1F contactor range, wound for 140 V AC 50/60 Hz control circuits. If you're swapping a failed coil or stocking a spare for a panel full of LX1F contactors, this is the drop-in part — same footprint, same terminal layout. It ships without a built-in suppressor module, so plan on adding an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil terminals if your control circuit doesn't already provide one. Skipping it shortens the life of both the coil and any PLC output driving it.
A 120 V tap won't pull the coil in reliably; a 208 V tap will burn it out. Mechanical durability is rated at 5 Mcycles, which is solid for a line that cycles every few seconds but not a fit for a high-speed pick-and-place running 10 cycles per second — that would eat the mechanical life in under a week. Maximum operating rate is 600 cycles per hour at 131 °F (55 °C); derate further if the enclosure runs hotter.
Listed as Active — no end-of-life notice, no last-time-buy deadline. For a critical spare, keep one on the shelf; for a new panel build, verify the coil voltage matches your control scheme before committing the BOM line.
