The LX4FF375 is a replacement contactor coil from the TeSys range, designed for FF-frame contactors. It operates on a 375 V DC control circuit with low consumption characteristics, meaning it draws minimal holding current once the contactor is sealed — relevant for panels with shared DC supplies where cumulative coil draw matters. Coil resistance measures 249.2 Ω inrush at 20 °C and 52776 Ω holding at 20 °C. The wide ratio between inrush and holding resistance is typical of DC low-consumption designs: high inrush current for fast pick-up, then a much lower holding current to reduce heat and power draw.
Control voltage limits and timing
The coil is rated for an operational voltage range of 0.85 to 1.1 Uc at 55 °C, so it will reliably pick up between about 319 V DC and 412 V DC. Drop-out occurs between 0.15 and 0.2 Uc at 55 °C — roughly 56 to 75 V DC — which means the contactor drops out cleanly on a sagging DC bus without chattering. Closing time is 30 to 40 ms; opening time is 30 to 50 ms. These are consistent with standard TeSys contactor coil performance and allow coordination with upstream protection devices in motor starter applications.
The coil ships without a built-in suppressor module. If your application requires flyback suppression on the DC coil — common when the control circuit includes PLC or solid-state outputs — you will need to add an external diode or varistor across the coil terminals.
