The LX4FK065 is a replacement contactor coil from the Schneider Electric TeSys F range, designed for LX1FK contactors. It operates on a 125 V DC control circuit and is the service part you order when the original coil fails or a panel spec changes voltage.
Key electrical characteristics
The coil pulls in at 2100 W inrush at 20 °C, then holds at 10 W — the inrush resistance is 3.73 Ohm, holding resistance 916 Ohm. That wide ratio means the DC supply must deliver the inrush peak without droop; a marginal power supply can cause chatter on pickup. Control voltage limits are 0.85...1.1 Uc for operation and 0.2...0.35 Uc for drop-out at 55 °C. So at 125 V DC nominal, the coil drops out between 25 V and 44 V — useful to know if you have a long DC run with voltage drop. The closed-circuit inductance is 122 H, which combined with the holding resistance gives the low holding power. No built-in suppressor module is included, so you need an external flyback diode or RC snubber across the coil to protect the DC control circuit from the inductive kick.
Mechanical and thermal limits
The ambient temperature range for operation is -5 to 55 °C. These are the limits that govern replacement intervals in high-cycle applications like packaging or conveyor sortation. Opening time is 45...60 ms, closing time 50...60 ms. That timing matters when coordinating with upstream protection or sequencing multiple contactors in a motor control center.
