The LX9FL933 is a specific replacement coil for the TeSys F contactor range. It's the part that pulls the contactor in and holds it closed — no built-in suppressor, so you add the RC snubber or varistor externally based on your panel's noise environment. Rated for 264...299 V DC control voltage, with an operational range of 0.85...1.1 Uc at 131 °F (55 °C) and drop-out between 0.3...0.5 Uc. That means it'll hold in down to about 224 V DC and drop out cleanly between 79 and 132 V DC — useful to know if your DC bus sags under load. The coil draws 733 W inrush at 68 °F (20 °C) to pull the armature in, then settles to 48 W hold-in power. Heat dissipation runs 22.8...27.8 W once seated — that's the continuous thermal load the enclosure has to shed, so factor it into your panel's thermal budget.
Switching performance and duty cycle
Opening time is 60 ms, closing time is 20 ms. That's fast enough for most motor-start and isolation duties on a process line. Maximum operating rate is 1800 cycles per hour at 158 °F (70 °C) — about one cycle every two seconds, which covers high-speed indexing applications. Mechanical durability is rated at 5 million cycles. That's the mechanical life of the coil assembly itself — the contactor's electrical life will depend on the load it's switching (resistive vs motor), but the coil won't be the weak link in most installations.
