What lands in the cabinet
The LXM18MESU50N4X: Three-phase 380…440 V input at 12 A line current feeds a continuous 16.5 A output stage at the 8 kHz switching frequency, with a 42 A 3-second peak available for acceleration transients — so the drive is rated to handle a motor whose continuous current sits inside that envelope and whose short-term demand stays within the 42 A peak ceiling.
Network, safety and EMC posture
EtherCAT is integrated on-board, so the drive drops onto the motion bus without a separate gateway module, and STO is part of the base feature set — the two pieces that usually drive an extra part-number suffix on a servo drive are already built in here. The unit ships without an EMC filter (line-side filtering is the panel builder's responsibility to size to the installation's wiring practice), and the enclosure is rated IP20 — meaning the drive is intended for installation inside a sealed cabinet, not on the machine surface.
Operational envelope
Operation is rated 0…45 °C ambient at altitudes up to 1000 m — both the thermal and the air-pressure headroom a typical European or North-American cabinet site sits comfortably inside without forced-air derating. Supply tolerance runs 342…484 V three-phase across 47.5…63 Hz, so the drive will tolerate factory bus drift and standard 50/60 Hz mains without special handling.
