The Schneider Electric METSEEM3561 is a PowerLogic EM3561 energy meter, part of the EM3500 range, designed for sub-billing and partial metering in commercial and industrial panels. It mounts on a DIN rail and accepts low-voltage current transformer inputs at 0.333 V or 1 V, covering a measurement range of 5...32000 A. Rated supply voltage is 90...347 V AC, 50/60 Hz, 3P + N. The backlit LCD display shows five digits of active, reactive, and apparent power per phase and total, plus power factor, voltage, current, and frequency.
Accuracy and compliance
Power and energy accuracy is ±0.2 %, with a Class 0.2S rating per IEC 62053-22 and ANSI C12.20. That means the meter holds its calibration within 0.2 % of reading across the specified current and power factor range — suitable for tenant sub-metering where billing-grade precision is required. The enclosure carries UL 508, CSA C22.2 No 14-05, and IEC 61010-1 approvals, covering North American and international panel installations.
Communications and integration
A screw-terminal RS485 port supports BACnet MS/TP at 9600 to 115200 baud with automatic baud detection. The meter logs energy consumption, records peak demand power, and can synchronise demand intervals via communication or a fixed/rolling block. Tamperproof settings are protected by an access code. Local signalling includes a red LED for threshold reached and a green flashing LED for output signal.
