The MGN60512 is a C60N miniature circuit breaker from the Multi9 range — a 1-pole, D-curve unit rated 16 A at 50 °C per EN/IEC 60947-2. It breaks 10 kA at 240 V AC phase-to-neutral, with a service breaking capacity (Ics) of 7.5 kA at that voltage. It mounts on a 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail, occupies 2 x 9 mm pitches (18 mm wide), and comes with tunnel-type terminals accepting 1…25 mm² rigid or flexible cable. The kit is complete: toggle control, ON/OFF indication, and a contact position indicator are all integrated.
D-curve selectivity and coordination
The D-curve (12 x In magnetic trip) is the key difference from a C-curve (5-10 x In) or B-curve (3-5 x In) MCB. For a 16 A breaker, the magnetic trip kicks in between 153.6 A and 192 A. That headroom lets you coordinate downstream with standard C-curve MCBs on lighting or general-purpose circuits — the D-curve holds through the motor start transient, then clears a hard fault upstream. Pair it with a C60N C-curve on the load side and you get selective coordination for most branch-circuit faults without oversizing the feeder breaker.
Panel integration checklist
Snaps onto 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail. Width is 18 mm (2 x 9 mm pitches) — plan the enclosure fill factor accordingly. Ambient operating range -30…70 °C, storage -40…80 °C. Earth-leakage protection requires a separate block (not integrated).
Suitable for isolation per that standard — the contact position indicator confirms open/closed state. Electrical durability 10,000 cycles, mechanical 20,000 cycles. Service breaking capacity Ics is 75 % of Icu at each voltage level.
