DC-rated miniature circuit breaker for distribution panels
The Schneider Electric MGN61820 is a Multi9 C60H-DC miniature circuit breaker rated 32 A at 50 °C (EN/IEC 60947-2), two poles, curve B, built for DC networks. The thermal-magnetic trip unit uses a curve B magnetic threshold of 5.5 x In (176 A), so it clears short-circuit faults fast while riding through moderate inrush from DC loads like contactor coils or LED drivers. The IP20 finger-safe front and IP40 modular enclosure rating allow installation in distribution boards with gland plates — no extra shrouding needed for panel-side access.
The MGN61820 carries four DC breaking-capacity ratings: 20 kA at 220 V DC, 20 kA at 250 V DC, 10 kA at 440 V DC, and 6 kA at 500 V DC. The 250 V DC rating matches the most common nominal voltage for 2-pole DC distribution (two 125 V batteries in series, or a 250 V solar string). The 440 V DC and 500 V DC ratings cover higher-voltage arrays or traction battery banks — but the available fault current must stay under 10 kA or 6 kA respectively. Rated operational voltages are 220 / 250 / 440 / 500 V DC; rated insulation voltage is 500 V DC.
Integration notes
Tunnel-type terminals accept 1…35 mm² rigid stranded (AWG 18…2) or 1…25 mm² flexible. Strip length 14 mm, torque to 3.5 N·m. Padlockable toggle for LOTO compliance. Tropicalisation class 2 per IEC 60068-2 for humid environments.
