DC-rated miniature circuit breaker for 1-pole distribution
The MGN61865 is a 1-pole 10 A miniature circuit breaker from the Multi9 C60H-DC series, designed specifically for DC networks. Rated at 10 A at 50 °C per EN/IEC 60947-2, this breaker uses a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism with a K curve — magnetic tripping occurs at 12 x In ±20% DC. The K curve is a good match for DC loads with moderate inrush, such as control transformers, solenoids, or DC power supplies, where you want the magnetic trip set high enough to avoid nuisance trips on startup but still provide short-circuit protection. Breaking capacity is rated at 20 kA Icu at 110 V DC, 10 kA at 220 V DC, and 6 kA at 250 V DC — all conforming to EN/IEC 60947-2. For a DC panel, the voltage rating and the pole count are the first things to check: a 1-pole DC breaker interrupts the line side, so the system neutral or return path must be handled separately. The 250 V DC maximum operational voltage (Ue) covers common 110 V and 220 V DC bus voltages found in industrial control, telecom, and railway auxiliary supplies.
The K curve magnetic trip threshold is 12 x In ±20% DC. This avoids tripping on inrush from DC-DC converters or capacitive loads. The utilisation category is A per EN/IEC 60947-2, meaning it is not intended for frequent switching of motor loads or for use as a main disconnect under load. It is a distribution breaker — set it and leave it, with occasional manual operation via the toggle for isolation (the part is marked as suitable for isolation per the standard).
Panel integration — DIN-rail clip-on, tunnel terminals
Mounts via clip-on to a standard DIN rail. IP20 rated (finger-safe) per IEC 60529, with IP40 in a modular enclosure. The grey housing includes an ON/OFF indicator and a padlockable toggle for lockout/tagout.
