DC-rated miniature circuit breaker for 2-pole protection
The MGN61877 is a Schneider Electric Multi9 C60H-DC miniature circuit breaker — a 2-pole (2P) thermal-magnetic MCB rated at 3 A at 50 °C per EN/IEC 60947-2, designed specifically for DC networks. Its breaking capacity hits 20 kA Icu at 250 V DC and still delivers 10 kA at 440 V DC, so it handles fault currents across the common DC bus voltages found in industrial control panels, solar combiner boxes, and battery distribution.
Breaking capacity and selectivity in DC circuits
What sets this breaker apart from a standard AC-rated MCB is its DC-optimized arc extinction. The C60H-DC maintains 20 kA Icu at 220 V DC and 250 V DC, then steps down to 10 kA at 440 V DC and 6 kA at 500 V DC. That means on a 250 V DC bus — typical for telecom or UPS systems — it fully interrupts a 20 kA fault without cascading upstream. The magnetic trip threshold is fixed at 12 x In (±20 %), so it clears short-circuits fast while riding through moderate inrush.
Tightening torque is 2.5 N.m top or bottom. IP20 finger-safe on the front; IP40 inside the modular enclosure.
