DC-rated miniature circuit-breaker for distribution panels
The Schneider Electric MGN61890 is a Multi9 C60H-DC miniature circuit-breaker built for DC network protection in distribution applications. It carries a 50 A rated current at 50 °C per EN/IEC 60947-2, with a K-curve magnetic trip threshold of 12 x In ±20 % DC — meaning it handles moderate inrush without nuisance tripping, suited for DC motor or transformer branch circuits. Clip it onto a DIN rail in a standard 36 mm (4 x 9 mm pitches) footprint — fits a typical distribution board slot.
Breaking capacity is given at four DC voltages: 20 kA at 220 V DC, 20 kA at 250 V DC, 10 kA at 440 V DC, and 6 kA at 500 V DC. Match your system voltage to the closest column — if your fault current exceeds that number at your voltage, this breaker isn't the right choice. The thermal-magnetic trip unit is non-interchangeable; what you see is what protects the circuit.
The enclosure is IP20 (fingers) and IP40 inside a modular enclosure — fine for a distribution board, not for washdown. The toggle provides ON/OFF indication and the unit is padlockable for lockout/tagout. The contact position indicator gives visual confirmation of the state.
