930 W continuous power — sizing the drive match
The MH30701P06F2200 delivers 930 W continuous power from a three-phase supply, which sets the minimum drive current rating. The continuous stall current is 1.78 A, and the maximum RMS current hits 5.97 A — the drive's continuous and peak output must cover both numbers without tripping into current limit.
Holding brake and encoder — what's built in
The holding brake delivers 3 N·m holding torque and pulls in at 7 W. That brake holds the load on a vertical axis when power drops — no external mechanical brake needed. The brake release voltage must match the drive's brake control output; the 7 W coil is a DC solenoid, so the drive's brake chopper or external relay handles the switching. Feedback comes from a single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder. This is an analog sine-cosine encoder with a serial comms channel for position data — it works with Schneider LXM52/LXM62 drives natively, and with third-party drives that support the Hiperface protocol. Single-turn means absolute position within one revolution; multi-turn applications need a different encoder option.
IP65 enclosure and shaft — washdown-ready
IP65 standard means the motor body is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. That's enough for washdown in food processing or wet machining lines, but not for submersion or high-pressure spray (IP66/IP67 would cover that). Smooth shaft, 11 mm diameter, 23 mm length — no keyway. The smooth shaft means the coupling or pulley clamps onto the shaft with a set-screw or friction lock; no keyseat to align. The 70 mm flange (2.8 in) is an international standard flange, so it bolts to common gearbox and mounting brackets without adapters.
Thermal limits and torque derating
The torque constant is 0.79 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature — that's the hot-winding value, not the cold start. Continuous stall torque is 1.4 N·m across the 115–480 V range, and peak stall torque hits 4.2 N·m. The stator resistance is 8.28 Ω and inductance 23.4 mH; the drive's current loop gains should be tuned for these values, especially on longer motor cables where the cable capacitance adds to the load. Natural convection cooling — no fan. The 930 W continuous rating assumes free air around the motor body; mounting it in a confined space or against a heat sink reduces the duty cycle. Maximum mechanical speed is 8000 rpm, but the torque available above 3000 rpm drops as the radial force limit tightens (460 N at 3000 rpm vs 360 N at 6000 rpm).
