5000 rpm servo with holding brake — MH30703P02F2200
The MH30703P02F2200 is a three-phase servo motor from Schneider Electric's MH3 series, rated for 5000 rpm nominal speed and 1540 W continuous power. It includes a holding brake with 3 N.m holding torque, making it suited for vertical-axis applications where the load must stay put when the drive is de-energized. The motor delivers 3.18 N.m nominal torque when paired with an LXM52 drive at 115 V three-phase, derating to 2.26 N.m at 480 V three-phase. Peak stall torque reaches 10.2 N.m for short-duration acceleration events.
Encoder feedback and cable routing
The Multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides absolute position feedback — the drive knows the shaft position at power-up without a homing cycle. This saves cycle time on machines that power-cycle between batches. Rotatable right-angled connectors let the cable exit in any of four directions, which helps when the motor is mounted in a tight cabinet corner or against a machine frame. The smooth shaft (no keyway) means the coupling must transmit torque through a clamping or friction fit.
IP65 and thermal constraints
Rated IP65, the motor body and connector seal withstand washdown — suitable for food-and-beverage lines or wet machining areas. Cooling is by natural convection only; no fan, so the motor relies on the mounting surface and ambient airflow to stay within the 135 °C copper hot-spot limit. Maximum radial force on the shaft drops from 730 N at 1000 rpm to 400 N at 6000 rpm — bearing life is the constraint at higher speeds, so a belt-drive or overhung load must be sized against this derating curve.
The motor mates with LXM52 or LXM62 servo drives; nominal torque varies with the drive voltage configuration as listed in the spec table.
