The VW3A46107A is a passive filter designed to pair with a Schneider ATV610 variable speed drive running a 22 kW / 30 hp motor on a 380-480 V three-phase line. It knocks input current harmonics down to 10 % THDI, which keeps the drive from rattling the rest of the panel's gear — especially important on shared transformers or generator-fed sites. The filter is rated for 32.5 A on the input side and 50 A on the output, so it handles the drive's full draw without choking. Efficiency sits at 98 %, with 327 W of thermal losses to vent. That's heat you need to account for in the enclosure — at full load it's about the same as a small space heater running inside the cabinet. Mounting is IP20, so it's meant for a clean, dry panel environment, not out in the washdown zone.
The 10 % THDI figure is what matters most here. Without a line filter, a standard VFD can push higher THDI back onto the line, tripping nuisance breakers or overheating transformers upstream. This filter brings that down to 10 %, which is clean enough to meet most plant power-quality specs without going to a full active front end. The UL 61800-5-1 and IEC 61800-5-1 certifications mean it's tested as part of a drive system for both safety and harmonic limits — not just a standalone choke. The 50 A output rating matches the drive's nominal current for a 22 kW motor at 400 V. The input rating of 32.5 A reflects the lower current draw on the line side after the filter's inductive stage.
