24 I/O brick with embedded Ethernet
The TM200CE24U is a 24-point discrete I/O controller from the Easy Modicon M200 series, packing 14 inputs and 10 transistor-sink outputs in a 130 x 90 x 70 mm footprint that clips onto a standard TH35 DIN rail. It runs on 20.4–28.8 VDC and includes four high-speed counter inputs (100 kHz, 32-bit) configurable for quadrature, pulse/direction, single-phase, or CW/CCW modes — enough for a single-axis encoder feedback loop without an add-on module. On-board Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP at 10/100 Mbit/s handles the control-network link, while a second serial port (RS232 or RS485, 1.2–115.2 kbit/s) supports a local HMI or drive daisy-chain.
I/O timing and PID loop count
Fast inputs I0, I1, I6, I7 switch at 5 µs on/off — these are the ones to use for high-speed capture or interrupt-driven events. Regular inputs I8–I13 respond at 35 µs on and 100 µs off, adequate for pushbuttons and limit switches. Transistor outputs Q0–Q9 turn on in 1 ms and off in 1 ms; outputs Q0 and Q1 can also run PWM or PLS at up to 100 kHz for simple motion or lamp-dimming profiles. The controller supports up to 14 simultaneous PID loops — useful when a single machine station needs closed-loop control on temperature, pressure, and flow without a separate process controller.
Compliance and documentation
CE marked and designed to IEC 61131-2 (PLC hardware) and IEC 61010-2-201 (safety requirements for programmable controllers). Pollution degree 2, suitable for clean industrial environments. Insulation between input groups and between output groups is rated at 500 VAC — channel-to-channel isolation is non-insulated within the same group, so field wiring should separate high-voltage and low-voltage signals by group. Backup time for the real-time clock and program retention is 3 years at 25 °C via a BR2032 lithium battery (5-year battery life). The clock drift is ≤90 seconds per month at 25 °C.
